John Gontarz who holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry and has 30 years of experience developing ingredients for cosmetic and personal care products, turned his expertise towards oral care after retiring. Motivated by his personal battle with tartar, plaque buildup, and periodontal disease and 3-month cleaning appointments, John developed a toothpaste to remove tartar and reverse periodontal disease, impressing his dentist with his results. This led to the creation of TartarEnd LLC in 2016. He is now on a routine six-month cleaning schedule with clean teeth and healthy gums.
